What is Earth-Exchange
Operating in line with UK guidance and best practice, the Earth Exchange platform provides a clear geographical overview of construction sites and material availability across the country. The interactive map enables members to proactively plan the sourcing, reuse and removal of recycled construction materials locally.
By connecting sites with surplus materials to those with demand, members can achieve significant cost savings by reducing landfill charges, minimising transport distances and avoiding unnecessary expenditure on imported materials that may already be available nearby.
Earth Exchange is available to subscribers for a modest monthly fee, covering platform development, software support and ongoing management.
Our commitment to sustainability
Earth Exchange is a Principal Member of CL:AIRE and fully supports the use of Materials Management Plans (MMPs), including compliance with relevant exemptions and DoWCoP requirements.
Members can access MMP application forms and locate Qualified Persons (QPs) directly through the platform. The site database has been designed to mirror the information typically required for MMP submissions and declarations, helping to streamline the process wherever possible.
